President’s Challenge 2025
The object of the challenge is to beat the President.
The BVCC President’s Challenge for 2025 is an exciting competition aimed at testing the creativity and technical skills of the participants. Here are the key details of the challenge:
Objective
The primary goal of this challenge is to capture a unique photo of an architectural feature using your oldest digital camera. The focus should be on a specific architectural detail rather than an entire building.
Entry Requirements
- Participants must use their oldest digital camera.
- The photo should highlight a unique architectural feature.
- Entries must be submitted on the BVCC competition page by January 27th, 2025.
- The title of your entry must include the year of release of your camera, the make, and the model. For example 2005 – Canon 5DS R.
- Metadata must be retained in your entry.
Judging Process
The President’s entry will be judged independently. Scoring will be based on two categories:
- Oldest Camera: Points will range from 9 to 15. The oldest camera will receive 15 points, with each subsequent newer camera receiving one point less, down to a minimum of 9 points.
- EDPI Entries: The president and a national judge will judge the entries on a scale from 9 to 15 points.
Final Score
The final score for each entry will be the sum of the scores from both categories. The maximum possible score is 30 points, and the minimum is 18 points.
Participants are encouraged to showcase their creativity and technical prowess in capturing architectural features, making this challenge a thrilling opportunity to demonstrate their photography skills. Good luck to all participants!
