A member’s day out  – James Millward

We had a most enjoyable afternoon up at the Blue Lotus Water Gardens, Yarra Junction. This is an oasis of 14 acres of Lotus Flowers and Water Lilies. There are so many photo’ opportunities, from individual blooms, seedpods to Monet style landscapes. The gardens are laid out with walkways and lots of red bridges. If you’re lucky you might even see a full size live fairy. The gardens are open daily 10.00 am – 5.00 pm up until 2nd April with only a modest entry fee. In my opinion, well worth a visit. Even in the hot afternoon you can still find shaded areas and not have to battle the harsh direct light. – James.
